If I replaced my rear wheels, currently 16x8 et35 with a pair of 16x8 et10, which i think is the same as running a 25mm spacer - will handling be adversley affected?

Geometry is all getting redone anyway.

In theory yes but whether it's enough to put you off is down to you. Personally I doubt you'll feel much difference. Maybe a bit more tramlining but that can probably be dialed out too.

I assumed that would be the case, thanks Papa Lazarou.

(Do you think it will make any noticeable difference to appearance?)

Well the wheels will stick an inch further out so should be noticable but it probably depends a lot on the style of wheels. The alignment, particularly camber can make a big difference to how it looks too.

it won't affect tramlining as OP is changing rear wheels not fronts. might get a touch more understeer as your rear track gets a little wider, but won't be huge, esp if the same tyres are going on the new wheels.
