Mystery screw

Well it's Christmas day evening so what better to do than strip down the Eunos with my new tool kit. Whilst removing the rear carpet I took off all the carpet studs but had to also remove a couple of screwed down disks, they were either side behind the seat belt towers. does anyone know what they are for?



Mine is a 1993 1.6 Eunos

Aren't they the "seats" for where the hood sits? There should be a matching pair of plastic lump. On the hood that meet these lumps when it's folded down.

Could be, I did notice the hood hinges sat on them.
