Would you be put off one if it didn't have a LSD fitted?

No, just bought a 2005 1.8 icon (which doesn't) - chosen for having cheaper insurance (doesn't matter so much if you have cheap insurance anyway) and a few other reasons. Could have had a Euphonic or older S-VT for the same money, but decided on a better value newer car in the end.
