Bracknell Nutz Meet - Thursday 19th January
Discussion
We're kicking off the first meet of 2012 on Thursday 19th January, from 7:30pm. Tables up near the palm tree are booked (past the bar and up the couple of steps).

Reasonably priced menu and the food is excellent, and a decent sized car park. I would suggest you approach the car park from the roundabout, rather than using the turn-in from the main road as the metal speed humps/flaps scrape on the underneath of the car.
Easy access from M3 or M4 for those of you who live a little further afield!

Is this meeting open to newbies?
I'm picking up my newly purchased mk2.5 1.8 sport tomorrow afternoon and live just 1.8 miles (and more importantly 4 roundabouts...) from Peacock Farm.
Previously had Westfields and a VX220 and raced a single seater in hillclimbs and sprints for 5 years but needed something slightly more practical and cheaper (after a divorce) to run about in now.

Anyone even thinking about an MX5 would be welcome!
I may well come along then. Drive a scooby but currently looking for a MK1 MX5 as a second car.
I'm only based in Sunningdale so I'll come along. I'd love to bring my 5 as I'm trying to make it a track car. (Trying being the important word in that sentance.)
It would mean the ball ache of having to put it on the trailer though.
Do you think its worth it so people can critise/compliment it so far.
I'm really looking for advice on what or what not to do next.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Well it's always good to have interesting things to look at but bringing it on a trailer for a winter night-time meet is a bit hard-core
I guess it's not road legal then...
I'll be there in my Mini but only because I'll be picking up 2 wheels/tyres from another MX5er for our track car.

I think your right. Its not road legal, well no tax or insurance.
I've done the basice. All saftey stuff, coilovers and wheels.
Really after pointers. We can speak more at the meet, as you sound like the person to ask. Things like brakes do they need upgrading on a 1.8. And how expensive is it to get a bit more from the engine..
