Alarm light flashing when driving

Hi guys, driving my 2001 MX5 to work this morning, the alarm dashboard light was flashing. It didn't come on again when I restarted my car after I had arrived. Is this a random occurrence or sign of a problem? Everything else seemed normal.

Started it up again just now, light is not coming on so looks like a freak illumination incident...

Which light do you mean?

It's the immobiliser light, although it seems fine now.
