Mazda 5 stereo question
Discussion
Just posting for a friend. They have had a new battery fitted which has wiped out the stereo memory. They have been advised that the only people who can reset everything is the dealership (many iles away). Is this correct, or does Mazda supply stereo codes with the owners manuals? Or can any decent stereo technician sort this out?
Has the security code gone or the actual stereo settings?
The code [if it's got one, my double DIN Mazda6 stereo hasn't] will either be on a key card, written on the manual or will have to be gotten from the dealer.
If it's the stereo settings, the dealer can reset it in one go if you want to pay for the priviledge or if it's like mine you can enter the "workshop" mode via a sequence of button pushes to enter the engineers menu to access the full range of settings.
Have a look in the Mazda forums online for the actual sequence.

would be my suggestions, I've used the Mazda6 parts of both forums for info.
