Anyone had a look at this as a serious option for painting a car?

Thought it could be a cheap and easy way to tidy up the five.

I wouldn't, the stuff literally is a layer of plastic. Flexible and applies evenly yes, but it started to peel off in layers when I sprayed my window surrounds on my E46. I couldn't imagine it would be suitable for a whole car!
If you do though post pics hehe

Did you use the gloss stuff to go over it? Or just matte?

I figure it can't look any worse than the state it's in currently!

I used the matte finish, with proper preparation and primer too! It still started to come off after about 6 months unfortunately
