I have an odd faint ticking noise start, when under throttle . It sounds like its around the drivers front wheel. If I coast or come off the throttle, it disappears. The sound only makes an appearance when the car is up to temperature. It's baffling me!
That was my initial thought, but i'd expect to hear it all the time, not just under power.
There is a charcoal filter in the engine bay which can cause a ticking noise. You can remove it fairly easily - I did. a quick google search should come up with a guide.
