T R Lane roll bar questions
Discussion
Just after some help from anyone with a knowledge of TR Lane rollbars please. I have tried calling but there is an answerphone currently, so was hoping the wise on here could help ....
I'm in the process of turning the MK2 into more of a decent track car and will be looking to add some Meister R coilovers (good balance between track use and road use) to replace the exisiting standard set up which seems to have a fair bit of body roll on track.
First off, I'd like to get a rollbar fitted. I know the debate between Hardog and TR Lane has been done to death, I'm not looking for opinions on that, however what I would like to know is which T R Lane bar offers:
-Fitment furthest back from the headrests
-Allows full use of seat travel
-Gives the best height clearance
-Fits under a soft top
=Fits with a glass screen.
I also understand a full roll cage is better etc, however the car is still to be used on road and will be covered under my exisiting classic policy. They are happy for the baove mods, but not a full cage.
Many thanks for any replies

This from a Mk1... I don't think the Mk2 is any different in this area(?)
I'm fairly certain all of the TR Lane MX5 products fit under the roof.
I got the most basic variety (no harness bar either), but the standard seats still have full travel. The only problem is that when all the way back, the seat does touch the bar (just) and rubs.
I have a glass rear window with vinyl roof.

This is my TR Lane roll bar with the optional cross brace on my Mk1. I think it looks fantastic. The seats can easily go back all the way but do rub a little when they do and the rear visibilty isn't hurt at all by it to be honest. The only thing I would say is that while the cross bace stiffens it up and looks very nice it makes it a bugger to pull the roof back up whilst sat in the car and I have to resort to turning around to face the roof whilst kneeling on the seat haha. I still really like it though. I also have Meister-R Zeta-S coilovers on mine and cannot recommend them enough. They are the dogs b
ks and so easy to adjust. To finish off heres a gratuitous shot of my pride and joy not that I like to show it off you understand
