recommended welders for sills in ayrshire/glasgow
Discussion
hello everyone
hope someone could help me out, my mk2.5 phoenix has rather rusty sills, a nice sized hole in the drivers side & the passenger side is slowly getting there
with the MOT in mid june, im looking at getting the sills cut out, treated behind & new metal welded in.
painting, im not too fussed about, as im thinking about just doing a line of black hammerite along the bottom of the sill (rear wheel to the front)
SO is there any garages/welders recommended to do my sills in the ayrshire / glasgow area? preferably done a mx5 before, a few cowboys i know have offered to the job "the car MIGHT catch fire" NO BLOODY WAY!
)
i can get two repair panels for £160, is it worth buying them to provide for the job or leave who ever is doing the job to make their own panels / to their own devices?
any help would be much appreciated, cheers!

I'll be following with interest, I'm in Glasgow & have a mk.1 that needs sills doing.
I asked a while back on the Scotland forum and was recommended Mclarens in Kirkintilloch, and a place in Lanarkshire another PHer had used, Classic Coachworks I think it was called, but havent got round to getting quotes yet!
