Dreaded Mk 1 problem I know. What sort of money would I be looking at to get the rears of both sills sorted out?

Depends what sort of job you want doing. A plate over the sill rust to get you through a MOT or a full restoration cutting out the inner sill rust as they rot from the inside out.

Drop Garath (The MX5 Restorer) some pictures for advice & a quote. Have a look through his link below which should show you what your up against!

depends where you go, but for a decent job you are looking at around £300 a side for welding and painting.

Want a good job. Low mileage, very very sound other than the two rear sills. I will check out the link, ta.

I'd be happy to use the MX-5 restorer Lee, that'll be where my car goes when it needs the work.

Cheers Luke. The car will be sitting the garage for the next few weeks until I can change all the fluids and swap insurance. It will probably pass the MOT anyway but I will check him out when I get on top of things.

Just realised that we are a three soft-top car house! Bloody extravagant frown
