Hi,

Arriving home this afternoon I noticed that the headlamps were raised and on (dipped beam) on my Mk1 Eunos.

On investigation, the column switch was off but selecting side lights lowered the pods, whereas selecting off raised the pods again with lights on.

As a temporary fix I pulled the fuse and manually retracted the pods.

Advice needed please - any suggestions as to the possible cause?

Thanks in advance,

Dom

does it do it all the time? just turn your lights on at random times even when your lights ar turned off?

there are 2 ways to solve it.

1st theres an electrical problem not sure exactly what. (i was chatting to the guys at autolink on saturday and one of there cars was doing this at random throught the time i was there and he said its an electrical problem some of the cars get.)

2nd when you turn your car off and lights off, set you head lights to main beam (push the light stick forward as if mains are on but have the lights in the off position. its a short term fix till you can get the lights sorted. (for some reason when its in main beam it doesnt happen)

Hi,

Thanks for the info, I'll try option 2 until I can get time to troubleshoot.

Thanks for your help!

Do you have the flash to pass mod fitted? Check the diode.

Hi, tbh I don't know if the flash to pass is fitted, but it's another avenue to explore, thanks for the suggestion.
