MK3.5 brake pad advice please.
Discussion
Hi y'all,
I want to up-rate my brakes a little and have got some stainless steel hoses from MX5parts and I also want to change the standard pads. The car is used daily but also on track, 3 days booked so far this year, with more to come. I was thinking of EBC greenstuff or maybe Yellowstuff. Has anyone used these or have other ideas.
Cheers,
Rob.

Contact Paul Roddinson (rodders on here) for a set of his pads.I want to up-rate my brakes a little and have got some stainless steel hoses from MX5parts and I also want to change the standard pads. Avoid Greenstuff like the plague. Yellowstuff in my experience are good, but they're a bit hit and miss, sometimes you get a good batch, othertimes a terrible batch.
Wot he said.
I've had Greenstuff before and they are very variable. I've had sets that were great, others that crumbled away and another that were so hard they ate through a set of new discs in 6 months while showing no sign of wear themselves. I'll never go near them again.
Yellowstuff are a bit odd too. I have them on mine at the moment and some days they feel good and on others it feels like they are made of wood i.e. no brake feel at all and bad braking. I think they don't like to be left unused for a couple of weeks.
For my next set of pads I'll either be going back to Axis ULT or giving Roddo a call (if he makes his pads in Mk2.5 Sport size).
