Newbie saying hi..

Hi everyone just wanted to pop my head in and say hello.
I've just bought my first mx5 and I am very pleased to report that I am loving it. It's a 1996 1.6 Monaco edition. I know it's not exactly a fast model but in comparison with the n16 almera I just got rid of it feels like a rocket and with its lower driving position it allways feels faster anyway. For a few years now I've been reading everyone on PH talk about the general love for these cars and just couldn't understand why, but now owning one and driving it everyday I can completely understand where everyone is coming from. All I need now is some more sunshine and everything will be perfect.
Sorry for the pointless ramble but just wanted to vent some happiness

I bought my '99 a couple months ago and it's amazing, the lads at the office were giving it all the usual comments (one drives a WRX, one an A5 coupe, the other an E60 525) and now 2 out the 3 have actually tried to convince me to sell it to them! (It's going nowhere!)

I have just added my fiance to the insurance on my MX5 as I have a new job and dont want to leave it in a side road in Staines all day. He has only taken it to his work once so far but I am waiting for the time when he finally understands why I tell him the MX5 is not ever going to be sold. I am stupidly attached to my car!
