Morning all,

Mazda quote the width of the mk3.5 as 1720mm. Does anyone know if this includes the wing mirrors? My garage is very narrow (only 2340mm) and I'm not sure if I can get out of the car after parking in the garage.

Thanks in advance.

Martin.

There's probably not much in it?
I've got the Mk3 also quoted as 1720mm, will try & measure how wide my garage is over the next couple of days. What I would suggest is a bit of carpet/foam stuck on the garage wall to protect the car door.

I have a tiny garage and this is what I have done. I have carpet attached to the wall and I always put the top down so I can more easily get in & out of the car. I just pull it back up (without latching) while it's parked in there to keep the dust out of the interior. I have also put a mirror on the back wall so I can look down the pax side and get as close to the wall as possible on that side.

My garage opening is 2140mm and the MK3/3.5 fits in with the wing mirrors out, probably 10cm space.
At its narrowest point my garage is 2370mm wide and there is plenty of space to get out of the mx5, I just have a 2" thick sponge on the wall to open the door against.
I always reverse in as that means I can get closer to the wall on the passenger side.
