Just noticed someone in the past has removed the solid cabin brace bar from my 94 1.8iS to fit a flip up mini windbreak and storage net instead.

The windbreak is really useful, as is the storage pocket but does the cabin brace have much effect. I do notice quite a bit of shake with the roof down.

Has anyone managed to fit a windbreak as well as a cabin brace bar?

You can fit both easily if you move the oem Wind deflector forward a little and use self tapping screws. The top part will fold down 90 degrees and rest on top of the cabin brace (which is a good thing to have!).

The mx5part windblocker works well with the cabin brace.

i removed mine at the weekend to fit a style bar with my windblocker and i can definitely notice it. I think its made the steering vague and the rear inside wheel lifts/spins a lot more. I don't like it so i need to somehow modify my style bar so i can get the brace on also !

That said i found the cabin brace made the ride a bit more crashy - swings and roundabouts.

Interesting, I've got hold of a cheap brace bar off Nutz, so I'll fit that then have a play with the windblocker. I just drove home with the windblocker down and I'd definitely miss it! But extra bracing can only be a good thing too.

Any chance of a pic or two typhoon showing both fitted and screw locations?

I fitted mine further back so it could fit with my HD Deuce roll bars by removing the brackets and refitting them on the other side and upside down. Moves them back a cm or so and no need to drill anything.
