I have the opotunity to buy a mot failed eunos for very little money with just work needed on the brakes. I did a quick insurance quote and managed to get it down to £935 this is me being 20 allthough i don't turn 20 till 6th september that is when i will be getting it.
Before i go ahead what are owners paying for insurance which are my age and what are the best insurers for them its and early 1991 model.

I'd say bite their hands off, and make sure you really are paying peanuts for the car as there are plenty of them about for not much money!

That's a pretty good price from what I've heard.

I got my 93 Eunos when I was 21 and I was paying about a grand with a few years no claims so that seems like a decent price to me.

Generally I've gone through Adrian Flux as they've always given me a decent price with modifications included (cosmetic stuff).

Thanks for that this will be my 2nd eunos but this one will stay as an eunos instead of a kit car which the other one as turned into. The owner wants just 400 quid for it which was the price i bought my first one for will be trying to sort out insurance tommorrow and viewing the car on friday.

Was on compare the market was 1500 but added my father and sister and changed to fully comp instead of third party and came out at £935.

I got insured fully comp with an exhaust mod declared for £590 with admiral at 21. That was with 3 NCB and a relatively high excess, about 350 voluntary iirc. Ive got a '93 1.6 uk spec. Admiral wanted nearly double if it was an imported eunos though so I'd be weary of buying one. Thats why they tend to sell a bit cheaper.

edit. stick your parents on the policy too, brought my quote down a bit more.

Here you go 1990-91 eunos roadster 1.6 bought for 400 quid with no mot or tax.
Failed the mot on
n/s handbrake not working which was the calliper 60 quid,
n/s/r arb link bush deteriated o/s/r adviced so replaced all 4 with polybushes cost nothing as i bought them for my kit car build.
Both no plate lights bulbs
Will need to weld to patches next to get it through the mot which i can do after work (i work in a garage)

So after a bit of work to it and a good clean it looks like this for less than 500 including mot and work
