MX-5 NB fuel

Hi,

We have a 2005 sport model.
The car is low mileage, fun only.

Is there any benefit to running it on the Tesco 99 Ron Momentum fuel or should we stick with the cheap stuff?

Conventional wisdom is that you won't get any more power (in a non-modified Mk1/Mk2) with 97 or 99 RON. Whether the extra additives/detergents do anything is anyone's guess.

I've put higher octane fuels in my Mk2 at track (because that's all they sell) and seen no difference other than paying more.

Spot on. You can if you like but there is no benefit to it that you'll notice.

Just put a tankful of Shell V Power in my NC. Only noticable Difference was in the wallet area to be honest !
