Help buying my first MX5

Looking at picking up an MX5 for the wife, and for me to use every now and then again, had our eyes on this one.

Dealer was closed when we got round there, so only got to see the outside. Looked immaculate apart from a slight scuff on drivers side seat.

I've read through the buyers guide and is there anything that I should be looking out for? Is it due a big service soon?

Any general comments people can give on this would be great. We're looking for something lowish mileage in a unisex colour.

Looking at a very late mk2.5 there - a couple hundred quid more should see you picking up a mk3, might be worth having a look for one?

I did think this, but round here it just seems to be rotters for that sort of money.

What are the benefits for the later shape?
