Changing hazard button for a toggle/rocker switch

Just looking for some input into this before i start chopping wires. Ive looked at the wiring diagrams and, correct me if im wrong, the wires that im interested in are the orange and black. If im to fit a toggle/rocker switch is it as straight forward as just to connect these wires (plus a 12v feed to illuminate the switch)?
