switches what do they do ?????

Hi all I have been wondering what these switches are for I found the one for the alarm but don't have a clue what these do ???? Mk1 mx5 1.6 limited edition any help thanks I traced the black switch behind the glove box to theres boxes see pics thanks in advanced

I don't have a heated screen and rear fog is on an original switch ? Are the Mazda boxes part of the Ecu ?? Or is it the ecu thanks

If your car has had a hard top on at some time, that would probably have had a heated screen so a switch would have been needed for that.

The ecu is under the metal plate in the passenger footwell that is in the back of the picture you posted. Not sure what that Mazda box is but I'd guess at immobiliser.

That's the box that the black switch is connected too what's with the blue wire is it cut for any reason and the green wire why ???

Mazda 2096 seems to be a Mazda Finishline alarm.
The 4000A seems to be related and something to do with door locks or window closure.
Is there another Mazda black box 4076 somewhere?

My old Mk1 had one of those red buttons too. Wasn't connected to anything though!
