eunos front door speakers - help.

Hello again,

Finally spent some time on the eunos, both front door speakers are completely separated from the surround so need replacing.

The ph search is down, are there specific replacements or can I just order some generic in the right size? Wasn't sure about the screw pattern in the door for fitting new ones.

Have a look at http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/ they normally have some pretty good deals going.
Mine needed a bit of fiddling but they are behind the original grills so look OE.

Mystery plug probably central locking.
Strikes me however that Mazda (maybe all Jap) wiring is unfathomable.
IIRC there are various wiring diagrams on MiataNet but it seems likely US wiring was different from JDM and/or European.

Also on the passenger side there was this mystery plug. It's not for the speaker but couldn't see anything obvious that it used to connect with. The electric windows work so what's it for ?
