basic Track Day preparation
Discussion
Hi all,
I am taking my mk1 mx5 to Snetterton on the 3rd February and I was interested to see what prep anyone does prior to the day? I was going to simply change the oil for fully synthetic and bleed and replace the brake fluid for some more high temperature stuff. Anyone do anything else or have and oil or brake fluid recommendations?
Thanks

At a very basic level, check your fluid levels and take spare fluids with you. Make sure your pads and tyres have enough life left to do the track day and get you home. Ensure your tow hooks are visible should you end up in the kitty litter.
You'll need to make sure your arms and legs are covered up (shouldn't be an issue in Feb!) and you have a decent helmet to wear (or hire one).
Most track day organisers have more info on their website, e.g. http://focusedevents.co.uk/car-preparation.html
