Mk2 question

Just had a look at a clean mk2 and surprised at the amount of oil ? Underneath the car especially rear leftside would it be a diff or overflow from fuel filler? Vehicle is T reg 80,000 miles

Quite possibly a diff seal where the driveshaft enters. 20 quid for a replacement, cost me 30 quid at my local garage to fit as I dont have access to a lift.

More likely a cam-cover seal. It tends to run down the back of the block to the underside and then get blown back all the way under the car.
