Mk2 wheels question

Is the preference NOT to fit any larger wheels than 15" on these as 16 / 17 on 40's are too much of a hard ride?

On a Mk1 the general advice is that 15" is best but on a Mk2 17" is fine. I have 17" and 15" wheels and I prefer the 17s on the road so the 15s are only used for my track tyres now.

17" tyres are double the price (or more) of 15" though...
