Hi all,

I've had my Mk2 RS a few months now and I'm still getting used to it, I've never been that impressed with the 'turn in' so I've increased the tyre pressures a bit (its on T1R's) with little effect. Its still on the original Bilstein suspension and I think one of the shocks is knocking, as I can't find any play in any bushes or anything.

Is it worth replacing one shock? Or finding a pair second hand? I'm on a bit of a tight budget really, but if it will transform the car I could probably warrant spending a few £00 on a new suspension kit - problem is I'm not sure how long I will keep the car so don't to throw money away.

Once this is sorted, I will get a full alignment.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Max

Always replace in axle pairs. If one is knackered the other probably isn't far behind.

What's the tyre pressure now? I keep mine around 28psi. Any higher and I'd expect turn in to get worse.

Alignment may play a part in it too. Sorry I'm making it expensive.

Thanks, I think I set them at 28 psi as well.

Just found this, need to find out how old they actually are and how low the springs are as I can't have my car any lower because of my front lip and driveway!

Well I've purchased the above, so I hope they are OK!
