I sold my car in February and got a bike, however I've found myself looking at cars yet again already! Having been on PH for a while, I've heard people say MX5 for pretty much everything! So, of course thats were I've started looking.

I can't believe how cheap they are, a Mk1 for under £1,000? Seems to good to be true! Insurance as well, only £400 (23yo).

The only thing that is worrying me, is the size. Will I fit in it? I'm 6ft 4, so don't want to look too stupid in it!

I've tried searching, but nothing seems to be coming up!

Thanks smile.

6ft 4 is pushing it a bit. Would probs need a slimmer seat.

Only way to know for sure is to try sitting in one. If it's close then some foam can be removed from the seat base & back to give a bit more clearance (some prefer the way the seat feels that way anyway).

I'm 6'3", and with the foamectomy mod performed (to the car, not me), i fit in just fine. Even with a crash helmet on. I also do not have the seat all the way back either.

I'm 6'2" and I'm ok but I seem to have regular legs and a long body (I wear 32" leg jeans) so headroom is tighter for me than legroom.

There is hope then! Might have to try and few and see nearer the time. If worst comes to the worst, I'll just have to sell it again.
