So I previously had a 10AE MX-5 as my first car, which I sold last summer as I needed the money for buying somewhere to live. Did that, now sold it (still made a profit after 6 months of owning the flat so happy with that)! Now back to buying a car. Spend a while looking for something interesting, but practical since I've moved north of the arctic circle. Since it's Norway and everything costs a stupid amount then ended up back where I began, and about to buy an MX-5 again! Super cheap at only £5500 or so!

Really loving the colour, although I will have to de-bling the interior somewhat! Sadly it's the 1.6, but think this time I might modify it a bit to get some more power. Looking forward to being back in the fold again!

Thats lovely, dont think thats a colour we got in the UK?

The sill covers will be bonded on, made of Polyurethane most likely, similar to the factory mudflaps.

I think its a factory kit, an option on the later cars.

Your picture doesnt look very 'arctic' to me!

Thanks for the comments about the covers - I discovered it later that evening - it seems to be the OEM NB FL versions... not sure about the rear ones, but not going to change them. Which is related to the colour - it's not standard and is amazing in person. It's more like a TVR colour - a strange black that turns purple in certain light and angles.

In regards to arctic looking... the car had been in winter storage, so those were from last year. Picked her up today after 2 flights, 280 or so miles driving later and I'm back home! Was an interesting trip, including 2 moose (they are terrifying to come across, absolutely massive animals!) and some reindeer on the road, terrible tunnels and a 30 or so mile stretch of road with a lot of wind, ice and snow drifting around!

But if you're asking for arctic... is that enough snow wink And one for those who say cars should be used and dirty, wink Pity it hides the paint effect though!

This and the 10AE I had before will be all year round cars. However I did manage to get stuck on a hill earlier today. Just won't tell anyone who says the car is impractical that, hehe

The car seems to be worse in the snow than the 10th Anniversary edition - I suspect the limited slip diff helped in the 10AE compared to the open diff in the normal car. It could partly be the tyres though.
