Did a search for previous threads, but without finding anything. So, need your help please.
Time to fit a new set. Recommendations please, both for tyres, (no tracking or daisying),
and decent fitters. London/Herts/Berks/Essex etc.

Thank you muchly.

Toyo T1Rs tend to get good reviews as a good value tyre on the MX-5. I don't have much experience with other tyres, but liked them on my car. Generally the opinion seems to be their main weakness is in snow.

Toyos as above, a little soft for the track but good otherwise. Or uniroyal Rainsports.

I usually use jet tyres in Basildon, looks a bit ropey from the outside but good efficient service and cheap.

I have the cheap Toyos, the Prox CF whatevers, as I couldn't find anywhere nearby that had 14" T1's.

They're absolutley fine, and I think I only paid £40 per tyre fitted or something.

Camskills quite often have cheap Toyos. Also the Uniroyal Rainsports are very well thought of as mentioned above.

Check out black circles. They'll have approved fitters in your area

Just bought two Toyo T1R for mine in 195/15/55 for £110 fitted from blackcircles, they seem OK but I've not had a chance to push them yet.

Michelin pilot Exalto 2 are also good, which were fitted previously.

I fitted a set of the Falken Ziex ZE-914 to my MX5 and have to say very impressed. Even used them on the track and they held up very well.

I have those on my Mini Cooper. They are good all-rounders but not as good as T1R on an MX5 imo.
