Im looking to change my dials but how the hell do i remove the clear plastic front without cracking/breaking it?

Ive already had to buy a replacement cluster due to shattering the plastic trying to remove it.

I actually opened mine up a few days ago as the car I bought had the chrome cover for the dial surrounds and I didn't like it. Getting the cluster off was a lot harder than the clear plastic for me! Although on the guide above it says the NA is known for breaking so I guess you have one of them? The clear plastic bit was just pushing the tabs on the top, then popping them out below.
