Saw a car today that i like the look of but it had a binding caliper.

Is this something the dealer should address to make it 'fit for purpose' or because it is only an intermittant fault, is it up to me to get it fixed post purchase?

Id rather have the cost of a recon part (~£80) + labour off the price. is that something the dealership should oblige me on?

Its a main dealer franchise and car is an 04.

thanks.

If it's at a dealer and it has a binding brake then they should fix it before sale. While it doesn't cause instant death to all who go near it, it is an issue with the brakes so should be considered a safety issue.

Probably only causes intermittent death...
