I am so ANGRY! I have lovingly looked after my RS for years. One wheel centre went missing about 2 months ago, I thought it may have come off when my wife was driving. Last night I washed the car - this morning I find the other 3 wheel centres missing. I am fuming. These wheel centres are so hard to find, and finding 4 is pretty impossible. If anyone knowns where they may be available, please do let me know. I was keeping the car in perfect condition to pass on the kids...

Keep a close eye on ebay /gumtree / mx5 forums /other selling sites for your centres being sold on.

Speak to junk yard dog on mx5 nutz or autolink to see if they have replacements. If I had the BBS wheels I would probably drive around without the centres and keep them in the garage mostly, only to be put on for sunday best. Quite a lot of these being pinched sadly.

I sympathise - have had many vehicles vandalised or stolen/broken into etc. over the years, sadly 'tis not a priority for the powers that be.

As for lots of them going missing... why? Are there many more wheels out there than there are centres?

I sympathise with you. I had the BBS centres stolen from my '89 Golf GTI about a year ago. They'd lasted 22 years theft free and then they get stolen from the car park I use every day.

I kept an eye on ebay etc for a while but nothing local came up. Contrary to what someone said above, a passing copper did take time out to take details and have a quick look about and sent a SOCO over that evening to give it a once over! Far more interest than I would have imagined I'd get these days. Good effort D&C finest.

I didn't bother replacing them just to hand the new ones to the same git who took the first lot!

Does anyone know if the caps have a serial number that corresponds to the wheel?
