Looking out for a nice auto mx5 for the Mrs, to replace her lovely Arizona that my father in law now runs. I've been looking in all the obvious places but nothing really top notch has really caught my eye. Have I missed anything obvious that you may have seen? Thinking of spending between £2-3k on something really good quality. Private purchase preferred.

My girlfriend and I have just bought an Automatic MK1 1.6 the weekend just gone. Good one's seem to be quite hard to come by... No idea on MK2 prices, but ours was £1400. No rust, great condition all round really.

Try carandclassic.co.uk if you haven't already.

Bought this for my father-in-law earlier this summer for 1250. Mint car, makes me feel a bit 2nd class in my mk1

Look around, they are out there at the right price...

Hi There!.... Dont know whether youve found a MX5 Auto yet but I was just investigating putting our one up for sale!!
Its a 1993 import ( R/H drive ) Eunos Roadster in silver, Imported to the UK in 1998 on Irish plates ( so no age on plates! ) - Being an import, its got the luxories of Power Steering, Electric Windows, Air Con & of course the Unrestricted 1600cc engine!.......The car has done 130k, but runs as sweet as a nut & the body is in really good condition, NO rot! -- I was looking to get around £1195 for it.
Im located in Essex ( UK ), so if you're interested drop me a e-mail & ill get some pics & full details to you!
.........Not wanting to break any Pistoheads rules, ill put it up for sale on here tomorrow!!!
Cheers!
Chris

If you ring Paul at PH sportscars Derby on 01332 799298.

Tell him Oliver sent you (MX5 and Porsche bits bought a bumper off him on the weekend) lovely chap and he has a showroom full of very nice MX5s a good proportion of which are Autos as we were chatting about them on Saturday, he was commenting the decent quality cars he was getting now were generally Autos as they have been looked after.

It's not a pretty main dealer but they are straight and turn out good quality work, if they haven't got a car in stock to suit then provided your budget is realistic they will build you one.
