Hi wondering if any body has had a similar problem, I posted a message on here a whole ago about a faulty sensor, I ordered up a new one and fitted it to the wife's car and cleared the fault code to turn off the eml, but the light has come back on now and after resetting again comes back on again within a few miles!? Is it another faulty sensor or is there a more common fault that I'm not aware of and should be looking towards? It's a little annoying after thinking a quick sensor replacement would cure it, any hints would be grateful :-)

The post cat sensor or the pre cat?

You could have potentially a bad cat if it's only the post cat sensor.

Sorry for the late reply been a bit caught up in things.... The code is PO131-O2 sensor circuit low voltage bank 1 sensor 1, which I took as being the sensor I have changed with the one from mx5 parts at Pompey

Assuming the sensor you fitted is correct (what brand is it?) and working then your issue may be further upstream as in MAF.
