Mk1 auto choke hi revs

My mk1 has suddenly started to rev to 1500
On cold start up and take several miles to settle to 750 rpm on tick over.
Any suggestions anywhere?

If the throttle isnt binding I’d start by checking for vacuum leaks.

Have you photos of where I should look for vacuum leaks by any chance,?

Not really sorry but if you google your problem it will show you a few key areas, include the words idle control valve too and there will be lots of info.

Has anyone tried the egr cleaner spray into the air box as I’ve been suggested to use it?

Update. I took it to my friendly all round indi. He worked a method of bypassing the A I C valve . It now runs perfectly at sits at 750 rpm.
