Has anybody ever removed the badges from their Mk2? Either intentionally or generously done by your friendly local kleptomaniac?

What does it look like?

Cheers smile

We've done this on our Mk1 nose cone while it was in the bodyshop... as far as i'm aware the Mk2 is the same and leaves holes!

hmm wouldn't do that then. I was thinking they'd be glued on like most badges these days. Maybe the rear badges are.

Again Mk1 rear's leave little holes (some scroate has nicked the "Mazda" badge off the back of ours - grr)

My Mk2.5 leaves holes when the badges are removed so unless you have something to cover it all with, i'd leave them on.

I took the badge off the nose of mine and put Viper stripes and a sticky numberplate over for Le Mans. Only I stupidly put the plate 'over' the stripes, so I still have about six inches of stripes under my front plate but I'm too apathetic to do anything about it!

Re Mk1s and holes, a local kleptomaniac removed my front bumper badge and weirdly mine had no holes - it was just stuck on.

When I ordered a new badge that did indeed have pins on for said holes but I had to cut them off and file the stumps smooth.

How odd!

A new bumper is delivered without the holes. They are drilled through by the bodyshop when the badge is put back on. I would guess that yours has has a new front bumper but they stuck the badge on rather than drill the holes.

They used to sell round and square ones in the PH shop. Sadly no longer available.

The previous owner has done it to mine. Ok from a distance, but can see it up close. Not sure what they used to block the holes, but they'd then painted over it (at the same time as doing a full respray). I can take a picture if you want?
