mk1 idle speed problem.

Hi all,

Just got my mx5 last weekend. lives up to the PH hype and more!

One problem;

After a spirited drive, put the car in neutral and the idle speed drops to 500rpm, blips back up to 1000K then back down. this repeats for a minute or so an then returns to 1k revs and steadies.

occasionally it won't ever recover from 500 RPM and will just stall.

Any idea's on why this is happening and how i can sort it?
