Some utter utter b*stard has smashed my drivers side window. No chance of a window replacement until after bank holiday. Track day is tomorrow so i am in a spot of bother. Got a man coming out to fit some perspex but its gonna have tape all over it and no doubt will cause me a problem on the day. I plan on removing the perspex before getting to the track and hope i can run like that all day.
Anyone know if you can go out on track with your windows fully down ?

My experience is either 'fully up' or 'fully down' - and I suppose 'non-existant' is almost the same as 'fully down' - have you tried calling the track day organiser? Or checking their website?
(On another note - sorry to hear some tw*t smashed your window, and I hope you enjoy the trackday tomorrow!)

Cheers mate - its bedford autodrome. really looking forward to it hence the worrying about being blown out !
Nice! The West Circuit would be great in a 5
I'm sure the full-monty trackday configuration will have plenty enough twisty bits to get the back end out, the weather looks good for a bit of RWD fun too - lucky you!!I went to the GT circuit (which is what i am also doing tomorrow) in october. The circuit is superb in the wet as far as i am concerned. Its a great leveller so i could play with some of the bigger cars on the track, and slide the car around. The GT is rather long but its interesting enough that you don't mind being buzzed on the back straight by skylines and 911 turbo's etc..roof down and you get full stereo of their engines at full chat - glorious!!
I've had some new fast road springs fitted (wim development springs
) and had the geo set to be more neutral = more oversteer on demand. I am truely excited about it as i was doing some rather impressive drifts last time completely standard. Hazard to say this time will be even better ! Its not about how fast you go but how you get there

By the rules, you should have your side windows closed, especially if you don't have harnesses (Caterhams & the like usually do). Something to do with keeping you in the car in an accident. However, as others have said, it's not something they usually enforce too strictly so just ignore it and hope they will too.
I love the Bedford GT circuit. I've been there 3 times and enjoyed it every time

The day went fine. I left the window duct taped in and no-one said a thing. I did a couple of things on entry to minimize scrunity of the window which may/may not have helped in get in without a problem..
i run with the window in and also with roof down and the perspex out and not one comment was made.
Just pleased i managed to get on the track
