I've just fitted a set of G-Max lowered springs to my MK2.5 1.8 sport mainly to give a better stance - fronts are great but the rears get coil bound on uneven roads. I got them from an E-bay shop but after realising the problem I rang G-max and they don't actually list a set for the 1.8 Sport. Anyone had a similar problem and are there any rear springs available to suit ??
Shame cos it looks the business sitting 30mm lower

The best way to lower them is with coil-overs so you can drop the spring perch. However, GAZ are in the process of developing lowering springs for Mk2.5 to work with the stock shocks and they will be about as good as you will get as far as lowering springs are concerned.

You are not very far from Wheels In Motion if you fancy getting it properly sorted.

Yeah I know WIM are the boys - I work right next to them - just couldn't wait so had a go myself - will discuss with the experts next week .
I had the geometry set up by Tony a while back "Fast Road" made a hell of a difference - really good .
Thanks for the input

Interesting info regards WIM/Gaz developing lowering springs for the 1.8 Sport... Will have to keep an eye on that one. Sounds promising!
