MX5 keyless entry fault

Hi, I have a 2006 model Mk3 import with keyless entry.
The entry system is by push buttons in the door handle. When I push the button the light on the keycard blinks, but the doors don’t unlock. If I push the unlock button on the card the locks work ( lock button locks the car). I think I have somehow scrambled the locking sequence (guess!) any body any idea how to reset the system or have any clues as to the fault ?

I know it's a cop-out, but I'd take it to a dealer; not sure if the keyless system is an option on the NCs here, but they should know how to reset it.


I've got keyless entry on my Mk1. I leave it parked with the roof open and windows down

don't know were you are but dealers near Portsmouth don't want to know about "imports".
