My partner recently bought a '92 Eunos which was started a driven 3 times in 2 weeks without any problems. She decided to use it for work so I checked it the night before and it started fine after sitting for a week. The following morning all was O.K.as was the 15 mile trip to work. However on returning to the car the battery was completly flat. Nothing on the voltmeter but started with a jump. Removed and charged battery, refitted and getting 13-14v when running all seemed O.K. Started car 2-3 times the following week still O.K. Used car the next day, 3 stop starts still o.k. left for 6 hours returned to car battery flat again. I have had the battery checked, all good. Checked for discharge with ammeter can't find a fault. Any help would be appreciated as she can't use her new toy.

Checked the obvious internal lights / door switches, etc?

Radio definitely turns off when you turn off the ignition?

You can try taking out fuses one by one, to see if you can find which device is drawing current.

My guess would be a non-genuine radio or alarm that's playing silly buggers, the basic electrics in these is pretty bomb proof (and pretty basic), so it's unlikely to be a problem with any stock electrics.

HTH.

Is it a Panasonic or other gel battery? If so the usual voltmeter checks that you'd do for lead-acid batteries don't work. I can't tell you how you should check them though...
