Not going to the main event but will be attending the Classic a month later. Went to this for the first time when it was last run (two years ago) and had a briliant time. Everything is just that bit less stressful compared to the main race; virtually no queues, space to move about in Le Mans centre and easy to find a restaurant you can actually get in to! Just generally that bit more relaxed. Moreover, watching the classic racers is teriffic, be it D Type Jaguars, GT40s or "just" MGBs and Lotus Elans. Thoroughly recommended.
There'll be six of us in 3 cars: my Eunos, a 1963 TVR and a 600bhp Ultima: an eclectic mix. We're camping a few Ks outside town at Chateau Chanteloupe, complete with the luxury essentials of bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Can hardly wait!
