Spraying a rocker cover -

I'm already bored off my DIY finish polished rocker cover

Luckily I have a spare. Can it be sprayed with normal spray cans? Halfords for example?

I fancy doing a funky desgin on it to brighten up the engine bay!!

Painted loads of rocker covers with just normal Halfords paint, have always been fine.
