Cadillac CTS wipers won't switch off

Wipers come on as soon as engine started and will not go off. Have to pull fuse to make them stop. Also have another problem - nearside brake light not working, checked both bulbs and they are OK.

Anyone have any ideas what the problems might be? Any help gratefully received.

Start chasing wires stress full and takes time. Had similar problem and due to wires rubbing due to vibration be giving you the constant live to the wiper motor and by passing the switch, if its only doing when engine running. If engine is off and doing it then could be a faulty column switch

Brake light problem could be a broken wire some where, a quick fix run a wire from the live on the other brake light that's working and that will solve that save chasing the wire through the loom
