Just looked at the story of Op Frankton. A sobering read.

As a matter of interest were the watches offered to all in the unit? If so how many were made any idea?

Really rather cool, sadly no one ever made a fat tanky special edition watch.

Only 75 produced. All sold to badged members. Any resales will be to SBSA members only.

Pretty sure Bremont do a fat tanky watch. RTR I think.

Not gun tanks, so close, but no cigar, RE assault/mine clearance stuff.

To be fair if they had we’d only have broken them and had to get REME into fix them.

Thanks for the info chap. Very interesting watch, one of my favourite war stories/films.

There is a good Paddy Ashdown BBC documentary about it.
