Hello,

For Valentines day I was given a Moonwatch 39.7 which is obviously great and have been looking at them for a while. I've also been looking at a 2017 Speedy Tuesday on the reseller sites and been finding it difficult to choose. Looking for something which is classy but which stands out a little.

Are the Speedy Tuesday's really 42mm? My wrists are unfortunately pretty skinny and not sure 42mm will suit - as a daily I wear a Submariner which is probably the perfect size.

Assume it's possible to fit Nato straps to the Moonwatch 39.7?

Thanks,

Mark.

Nato straps will fit the 39.7mm Speedy (I assume you're talking about the First Omega In Space watch, which isn't actually a 'moonwatch'). The only caveat is that the lug width on the 39.7mm is 19mm unlike 20mm on the Speedy Tuesday, and 19mm nato straps are harder to find.

The Speedy Tuesday is 42mm like the normal moonwatch. However, the bezel is almost identical in diameter on the 39.7mm and the 42mm as the extra 2mm comes from the difference in the shape of the case, so the watch doesn't seem much bigger and the height (lug to lug) is almost identical.

Hope that helps!

FWIW, the 42mm speedmaster professional 'wears smaller' than you'd expect - i think it's mainly due to the dark bezel.

Its not necessarily the width of your wrist, it's also the shape. If your wrist is relatively flat, you can carry off quite a large watch. My wrist is only a little over 7 inches, but I can wear a 45mm watch OK
