Hi,
Anyone know about these?

It seems that the model was changed circa 2009 for one with no power reserve and a slightly slimmer case. I prefer the older model with the additional complication.
Not too many on the market it seems.

Does anyone have one? ( old or newer) any feedback on the comparable movements, durability, and if it's a daily beater would be useful.

I have a sub date and a Pam 104 and am thinking of something a little smarter, classier and understated to add to my collection.

This is my 37mm Master Calendar from 1999. I think it's a fantastic watch.

Thank you. As we all know this is a tool watch so here it is in it's natural and demanding environment......

I've just shuffled some paperwork and removed the lid from my pen. The watch didn't miss a beat.

The issue you have is finding both to try them on. I nearly bought the power reserve model many moons ago but decided against it due to its relative bulk. It’s a 40mm piece and sits high. For me, this size is sports watch territory. I wanted a dress watch.

The second watch you have there is a different proposition as it is of a smaller diameter and sits much flatter.

Both are very different. Both lovely, but different.

I’ve had 3 JLCs and found them to be robust and reliable. Unlike when I’m wearing a Sub you will rarely if ever see someone with the same watch on.

Thanks Vvroom
Yes 40mm is going to feel small as I'm wearing a panerai at the moment, though the second one is only marginally smaller.
Agree need to try them on,
Though I think I could get a good discount on a new more recent model.

Looks wise I probably favour the older model and like the idea of more complications.
