I have an old, circa 1990 Breitling Colt Military which is in need of a service as it's starting to loose time despite having a recent battery:

On the Breitling website I see it's £385 for a complete service, is there anyone better to send it to? All recommendations gratefully received!

It's not really a question of price as it has some sentimental value to me so I'm not looking to replace it for a new one despite this being a bit of an old dog and clearly very well used.

Chances are it'll get a movement swap, whoever does it.

I've used the Watch Doctors in Tring before (to service a 7730 chrono that was gaining huge amounts of time).

It might be worth getting a quote, they're pretty reasonable.

Just collected my omega from swiss time services. On collection looks like a new watch. Comes with a 2 year guarantee. Have to admit quite impressed.

I am in the same position. I have an old navitimer that needs servicing but the prices from Breitling UK seem on the high side and it is away fro about 10-12 weeks. I also hear that Breitling have stopped supplying parts to regular service centers so it has to go to Breitling approved centers. I don't mind that if they are very good but I don't want ripped off.
