Right, we already have an under £200 watch thread, so I thought I would take it a stage further. I am presently looking for a vintage watch in working condition for just a few quid. Give it a week or two I am sure I will find a bargain on eBay. Anyway, do you have any watches you paid less than £20 for that you aren't to ashamed to show us. I own the watch below, which is a cheap Chinese copy of a Cartier. In actual fact I am quite fond of it, and have just ordered a vintage style leather strap to make it even prettier. Despite the fact it cost peanuts, it actually appears to be reasonable well put together, and it's automatic movement is reasonably accurate and reliable.

You do seem to be obsessed with cheap watches and for some reason have an axe to grind against expensive ones so not sure what is going on there. It's almost like a form of reverse snobbery. As for this watch? Looks like a cheap fake of something decent to me (IMO of course).

Have to agree with the above, that looks like it shouldn't cost anything over £20 indeed.

HMT make very interesting watches in this price range and they aren’t knock offs!

A mighty HMT handmade by machines in err India, then refinished in a workshop I would imagine in Dharavi. It cost a princely £7 shipped.

It’s original in design ish kinda like a Doxa Professional had a baby with an IWC. It’s a cheap watch that does not try and pretend to be something else.

The case finishing is ok more John Deere than Jaquet Droz. The dial is quite nice the lume triangles are printed on the dial and not lume, just look like it. The strap says genuine leather on it, I think it’s more related to ICI than a cow.

It cost less than a couple of drinks so can’t complain.

As on the under £200 thread, £15 off ebay as poorly described and case is heavily worn.
This is definitely my most favourite dial...kind of a light tan/faded gold. The numbers are a very 1950s slide rule technical type. It reminds me of something precision engineered ( which Sicura weren't) and Old School.

For under £20 you can get virtually any dial in a generic case with seagull handwind

Serious question - why did you join a motoring forum when all you have ever posted about is watches? There are plenty of watch forums out there that would be better suited to you. Do you even have an interest in cars?

I’m not criticising, I am genuinely interested to know he answer.

Actually one of my favourite watches that I own is a £30 Accurist Clerkenwell so you’re wrong (again) smile

What was the name of the poster who used to get really irate in the watch forum?
He eventually got banned

What's wrong with using this thread - 200-odd pages of cheap watches here:
