Looking for a present for my sister, don't want to spend more than say £600 in an ideal world..

For that kind of money, I would be looking at a Tissot Le Locle Automatic.
They are a lovely Bi color watch, with a great reliable ETA movement.

Cant go wrong for that money.

Under £600 new from Goldsmiths.

Or if she likes something a little bit individual, the Mappin & Webb Ladies watches are lovely too.
